Trek to Everest

  • Arrive in Kathmandu and check in to the hotel
  • Explore the various sights of Kathmandu such as Swayambhunath temple and Thamel market area
  • Transfer to Lukla by flight and begin the trek
  • Trek to Phakding, alongside the Dudh Koshi River
  • Hike upwards to Namche Bazaar for the first views of Mount Everest
  • Cross the river and the trail continues amid pine trees and rhododendron forests
  • Enjoy the rest of the time at leisure acclimatising in serene settings
  • Trek further to Phortse Gaun, a little hamlet in Khumbu Valley
  • Observe Sherpa lifestyle and culture here
  • The picturesque trail continues to Dinboche, another Sherpa settlement
  • Views of Lhotse-Nuptse Ridge, Amadablam and Island peak are a treat
  • Time for acclimatisation at Dingboche
  • Hike onwards via Pheriche Valley to Lobuche
  • Pass by the Khumbu Glacier, from where many more peaks are visible
  • Trek higher up to Gorak Shep for the ultimate destination - the Everest Base Camp
  • The views of the Everest are divine, along with the glorious experience of glaciers, caves, lakes visible from here
  • Head towards Pheriche for more exquisite views of the great Mt. Everest
  • Hike towards Kala Patthar, which is an important vantage point
  • Spend a day in Tengboche area after trekking downwards as we make our way back
  • Monjo is the finish line and the descent is steep from Tengboche
  • Proceed further to Lukla from where we return to the capital city
  • Travel back to Kathmandu by flight and check in to the hotel
  • Explore the other highlights of the city such as the Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple and a visit to Bhaktapur
  • Bid adieu to Nepal today.
